Dr. Nicole Madden

Optometrist

Dr. Nicole Madden was born and raised in Calgary. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary with a major in psychology, and in 2012, she completed her professional education at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After graduating from optometry school, she moved to Vancouver Island, but after a couple of years she was excited to move back to Calgary and begin practicing optometry in her hometown.

Dr. Madden is extremely passionate about eye health and travel, and has been able to incorporate the love of both in her career. She has been fortunate enough to travel to Honduras and rural Mexico with various aid organizations to provide eye exams to those in need, and has also spent several months working at an eye hospital in China.

Her clinical interests include working with low vision patients as well as pediatrics, but above all, she loves spending time with her patients and answering any questions they might have about their vision or ocular health.

Dr. Madden is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists (AAO), the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), and the Calgary Society of Optometrists (CSO).

Outside her clinic, Dr. Madden enjoys travelling globally with her young family, and camping throughout western Canada.
